Just Another Manic Monday

Mommy and Daddy spent the morning at the eye doctor for Mommy. Her glasses would no longer stay together, thanks to little fingers. The last straw came when they fell apart this morning and one of the arms slid up under the piano where we couldn't reach it! So Mommy got an eye exam at Ritz and Johnson with Dr. Cheney, recommended by some folks in her congregation. Dr. Cheney was great. Mommy left with a trial pair of contact lenses in her eyes, a pair of backup glasses on order, and an appointment to go back and check the contacts next week. So no movie for date day but at least Mommy can see! We ended up going shopping and getting a really nice lunch at Red Lobster.

When we got home there were a couple of packages for us in the mail. One was our pictures from Cindi with an Eye, which look so wonderful! The other was from Miss Leslie and Miss Rael. The last time we were there, we accidentally left a pair of Wesley's shorts behind. So they mailed them to us along with a new storybook and Lightning McQueen pencils for Parker as well as a new baby animal picture book for Wesley! The boys were sure excited about their presents!
Our project tonight at home was something that we picked up at Hobby Lobby during our shopping expedition. We did a little home improvement in the living room and foyer. We added these stencil phrases above the living room window - "Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much." And over the back of the fireplace where we've hung all the pictures from our Holy Lands Trip in January, we added a Bible verse - "Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10).
