Grandmommy stayed with the boys from Sunday evening until late Wednesday afternoon. She packed lunches, took them to and from school each day, worked on homework with Parker, took Parker to t-ball practice, fed them dinner and did the bedtime routine. On one of the afternoons she took the boys over to see Big Daddy Don Garlits and his museum in Belleview. The Garlits family used to live in Seffner, and Mrs. Garlits and Grandmommy used to teach Sunday school together! We have a few pictures of their adventure - some of which Parker took. He was insistent apparently on getting that picture of the helmets in the case because he liked the Interstate Battery one! The boys had a blast looking around at everything, inside and out.
And they got a special treat while they were there. Big Daddy has one of Grandmommy's father's cars that he has restored. He doesn't keep it in the museum, but pulled it out of one of his storage bays for them to see.

When Grandmommy needed to leave on Wednesday afternoon, Miss Kelly came to stay with the boys for the rest of the evening until Mommy and Daddy got home at midnight. We're so thankful to Grandma, Grandmommy and Miss Kelly for giving of their time to make our trip possible! We never had a single moment's worry about our little guys while we were away because we knew that from start to finish they were definitely in good and loving hands!!!!!!
