Another adoption milestone that we found out about this week - we are now Out Of Translation.
Lifeline sent our dossier to China on December 6, 2012, and it was logged in to the CCCWA office on December 24. The next step is for the entire dossier to be translated into Chinese. This usually takes about a month. According to our adoption agency's in-country representative, our dossier was out-of translation on January 8 - in only 16 days! Being out of translation is usually the halfway point to receiving your official Letter of Acceptance (LOA). We could theoretically receive our LOA at any time, although given that things will shut down soon for almost two weeks to celebrate Chinese New Year, we aren't getting our hopes up just yet. This is just another milestone that people track to help pass the time in waiting. But every little step gets us that much closer to bringing our Davis home.
