Grandma Update

Yesterday my mom had her first round of chemo at Moffitt. She was accompanied by her friend and neighbor Sherry. After a nice breakfast they went together for her labs, visit with the oncologist, and then sat for chemo. It took about an hour by IV. Mom took the nausea medicine in preparation ahead of time and was feeling ok when we talked to her this morning. She has to go back today at 4pm for another shot and has another friend Sandy to drive her there and back. Her fridge is stocked with food to help get throught the weekend. We are so very thankful for everyone who is helping out in taking such good care of my mom and praying that she does not have a lot of side effects from the chemo.
