Davis turned 4 today.
We woke him up singing Happy Birthday!
We dressed him up in a new dinosaur outfit (we saved it from the toddler showers last year)
and sent him off to school with birthday cupcakes to share with his classmates and teachers.
We had a late dinner at Mojo's this evening to celebrate the birthday boy. He got to open a couple of his presents; the rest will wait until our family July/August birthday celebration later in Seffner. He was super thrilled with his Mickey Mouse flip flops, a Jake puzzle and a Mickey Mouse rescue plane.
And then the wait staff brought out a birthday surprise and sang. Unfortunately Davis was a little scared by all of the noise and started to cry. But he soon got over that when he saw what we would all be sharing for his birthday treat!
Davis continues to amaze us with the way he adapts and expresses himself. He has a love of music and often crawls up on the piano bench to try and pluck out a tune. He loves to dance in stores when there's music on the speakers - or he might hop and skip his way around instead. He's had another language explosion in the last few weeks as well - he's able to express himself with more complicated concepts in sentences and talk about his feelings, like being "scared" of the dark at night. Praying for another great year as a family of five with this little guy!
