We checked out of our hotel on the last Friday of spring break and headed over for one more day in the parks - this time at Hollwood Studios. We did Tower of Terror which none of the boys liked, so then we rode Star Tours a few times to make up for it. We saw a lot of characters this day starting with Phineas and Ferb. Phineas pointed out the stair step height of our boys and tried to get down on the ground so that there would be a line of 5. Davis was really fascinated by him being on the ground and with Phineas' hair. Then it was time to meet Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater.
We saw the Disney Jr live puppet stage show featuring characters from Mickey's Clubhouse, Doc McStuffins, Princess Sophia and Jake the Neverland Pirate. Davis insisted on meeting a couple of the full size characters outside when we were done - Jake and Sophia.
More hat fun - this is Jake the Pirate hair and Sheriff Woody ears.
Toy Story Midway Mania was a hit. Wesley got the chance to ride by himself on the backside of Baba and Davis' vehicle. Daryl was the highest scoring player in the family.
The Lights Motor Action stunt show.
The Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground
Lunch was really neat at the Sci-Fi Dine In Theater. It is exactly what it sounds like. The tables are shaped like cars from the 50s and on the drive in screen you watch promos and ads from sci-fi movies back in the 1950s. We had wonderful burgers and shakes here as well.
We used a Fastpass for the Indiana Jones stunt show and they had special reserved seating - we sat in the front row and felt like we were a part of all the action.
We also managed to catch a special holiday treat - the Frozen Sing A Long celebration. It was really cute. The "historians" from Arendelle narrated the action of the movie in between songs and all the lyrics were posted on the screens for everyone to join in with the singing. Towards the end, Anna, Else and Sven all came out on stage. It was a really nice treat.
We finished up the day with one last walk through the Osborne Light display. It was how we started the holiday season during Thanksgiving week; seemed only fitting to finish up here too.
