Summer Vacation - Part Three (Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Around Town)

Wednesday we spent at the Magic Kingdom. The big difference between this trip and our trips at Christmas? Well the heat for one - it was over 100 degrees outside every day. But the crowds at the parks were really a lot less than what we are used to at the holidays. We were able to get in a lot of rides on things that we all enjoyed....like 7 Dwarves Mine Train and Its a Small World.

Lunch was wonderful at Be Our Guest in Beast's Castle.

Friday we spent in Hollywood Studios. They had a bunch of stuff from the Frozen movie in the park for the summer - including the Frozen sing a long show in a new theater. We watched Indiana Jones and rode Toy Story Midway Mania. We played hide-and-seek with one of the Army Men from the Toy Story movies too! The boys also played on the Honey I Shrunk The Kids playground.

We had lunch at Mama Melrose's Italian Restaurant. Calamari for the appetizer, saltimbucco for me and steak with four-cheese macaroni for Daryl.

Wesley's favorite thing in this park is the Lights Motor Action stunt show. Unfortunately, it was cancelled because of lightning in the area, just a few minutes into the show.

Hanging out and being silly in the park.

The Fantasmic show at night was cancelled too because of the weather so we just headed back to the condo. Saturday morning the weather was spotty too but we managed to squeeze in 18 holes of mini-golf.

Our afternoon also included a trip to Disney's Lost and Found (by the Ticket and Transportation Center at the Magic Kingdom). Wesley lost his wallet inside Hollywood Studios the day before and it had been turned in by some kind soul and all his pressed Disney collectible coins were still inside.

Saturday night I ran home to go get Parker from Boy Scout camp, grab some clothes for him and take him back to Orlando so we could enjoy the last day of our Orlando vacation all together. We saw the most beautiful rainbows on our way to the condo.
