This weekend Grandmommy and Granddaddy came to town for some family time. After worship at the church with us, we had lunch back at the house. While we were putting the finishing touches on the food and setting the table, Davis and Granddaddy finished decorating the ceramic tree on top of the music cabinet. Grandmommy made the white tree and it sat in Grannie's house for years.
The large blown glass ornament is from Grandma's house and everything else here including the table runner are from Grannie's house. |
After lunch there was time for some snuggles on the couch - with Miss Mary the cat and with Davis.
The afternoon was spent up at the church for Parker and Wesley's very first piano recital. They've been taking lessons with a church member - Terry Anne Farner - since September. There are several other church kids who take voice, guitar, ukulele or piano lessons from Terry Anne.
Wesley played Jolly Old Saint Nicholas.
Parker played Silent Night
It was a very nice concert and the boys did a fantastic job playing their Christmas songs!! They were so excited to have Grandmommy and Granddaddy there to cheer them on. It was a great start to our family Christmas season.
