Hurricane Matthew turned out to be basically a non-event in our neck of the woods, thanks to the storm's wobble east overnight on Thursday evening. The boys had two days off from school last week and they used the time to be very creative around the house - they created a "lazer maze" in their room with a bunch of the rubber bands that they usually make bracelets out of.
Thankfully the worst of the "damage" at our house was a bunch of small sticks down in our driveway and a small limb down in the front yard - the neighbors across the street had more limbs down than we did.
