This week we had the wonderful privilege of hosting a Maundy Thursday service at the church that was a little bit different than the service last year - this year we not only served communion, but also washed feet. It was a beautiful and meaningful service that Daryl designed. All of those who had their feet washed are very emotional.
Then Good Friday was spent celebrating with our combined clergy peer group of ten local United Methodist churches and the Life Enrichment Center. There was a wonderful combined choir and one of the clergy from each of the churches spoke a short meditation in between the music. I got to represent Community.
The clergy of Oxford, Christ Leesburg, Lady Lake, the Life Enrichment Center, New Covenant Summerhill, New Covenant Lake Deaton, Ocklawaha, Wildwood, Community Fruitland Park, Morrison Leesburg, and Belleview along with our District Superintendent.
Just a small part of our Community UMC group - including some of our youth!
