Some Sad Moments

This week definitely had some sad moments. First, Tuesday was the first anniversary of Grandaddy's passing. It doesn't seem possible that it has already been a year. We miss him so very much. There are so many things from the last year with us and the boys that we wish he could have been there for or that we could have talked to him about. But we are thankful for all of the awesome memories that we do have.

Second, on Wednesday evening we found out that one of our friends from Druid Hills passed away in Mississippi, Charles Reid. Charles and Eunice moved there to live with one of their children after finding out last year that he had cancer. During the years we spent in Ocala, they became Aunt Eunice and Uncle Charles to our kids, showing up to cheer at baseball games, hosting us for dinner at their house and pool time, and so much more. Charles was a kind and gentle man and very patient with our boys. He will be missed.
