Sunday night we had a congregation wide Hymn Sing in which our worship choir, praise team and other ensembles participated and led in singing. It was wonderful and the evening reminded me so much of the hymn sings I went to as a kid with my parents and especially my grandparents. When the quarter sang at the end, I found myself getting all teary remembering my grandpa singing in his gospel quartet.
Then when I went home I took the fresh strawberries we got yesterday from Parkesdale Farms in Plant City and made two strawberry pies. My mom's recipe and with a modification to the crust, it's all allergy free for me. Mom's strawberry pie was famous and so so good. Looking forward to having some this week.
