Usually we host the Staff Christmas party at our house, with a buffet dinner and a fun Christmas gift exchange. Given the size of our group (21 people) and all of the Covid conditions, we opted to have our party this year in the gym at church. We were masked and spread out in chairs in a big giant circle. We dressed in crazy Christmas apparel, played a couple of games (unscrambling Christmas song titles and Christmas movie trivia) and then did our gift exchange. The winner of the sweater competition was Pastor Mal with his fuzzy cat sweater and I came in second place with the awesome llama sweater Daryl bought for me at Target. Then we got a staff picture before heading home. It was different, but we are so thankful to be able to celebrate with these people who have been so amazing in this crazy year of ministry.
