Tuesday was another beautiful day for a walk around the neighborhood and a trip over to Bald Rock at Fairfield Lake just for a brief visit.
Lunch was from Mica's Restaurant. And then in the afternoon we drove 45 minutes southwest to Scaly Mountain and Highlands Outpost. They just opened a new Alpine coaster called the Scaly Screamer in December and we got a chance to ride it. Plus we got to go snow tubing. The boys loved both!
On the way home we went to look at Christmas lights. First stop, downtown Highlands.
This is the Village Green in downtown Cashiers. So pretty!
On Wednesday, we hiked the Fairfield Lake Trail - all the way around its a bit over three miles - and saw the Fairfield Falls again at the north end of the lake on the Camp Merrie Woode property.
And then back to the recreation field for the boys to play.
