Sunday I went to the early morning chapel service at First Sarasota for worship before heading out to do to disaffiliation meetings. Monday took me out to Fort Myers Beach to tour hurricane damage there again with our conference treasurer and dream about the future of ministry there.
Tuesday morning, Daryl and staff celebrated Pastor Sarah's birthday at the office before closing up with the impending storm Idalia!
Both of us had offices closed most of Tuesday and on Wednesday. I was supposed to have been in Lakeland for meetings but they pushed those online. Thankfully, Idalia stayed way off shore when it passed us Tuesday night before slamming into the Big Bend area of Florida to the north of us. We're all ok down here but definitely admit to a little PTSD watching another "I" storm come anywhere near us on the 11 month anniversary of Ian.
