Given the surprise that happened over the weekend, Daryl thought his actual birthday today would just be a normal day. He was wrong. Instead, he got signs in our front yard (from me and the boys), a decorated office, matching staff T-shirts, and a surprise ice cream party after Bible study, complete with a serenade of Happy Birthday from the choir. The boys and I were able to join in for the party this evening. So grateful for how the Grace UMC Venice family has celebrated him this year.
