Welcoming Pastors

For the last Sunday in June, I worshipped at Wesley UMC on Marco Island. They've started building a new community garden in memory of their former lay leader Sue who died in 2023. 

Then I hosted a gathering for some clergywomen. 

Then Lynn and I visited 8 out of the 9 new pastors to the district over two days. Day one was the pastors in the south: First UMC Naples (Rev. McKinley), First UMC Bonita Springs (Rev. Richards), Cypress Lake UMC Associate (Rev. Wiley) and Trinity UMC North Port (Rev. Johns). 

And then the north pastors: First UMC Sarasota (Rev. DeHart), Faith UMC Bradenton (Dr. Wright), Emmaneul UMC Bradenton (Rev. Eccles) and Manatee Life UMC Bradenton (Rev. Woodward).
